My potential swing-trading setups I’m watching

long watch-list for swing tradingWe are about 30 points off of the lows that were established on Friday, so I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we pulled back even if it is just intraday before marching much higher again. It’s also the reason why I have been hesitant to add any new long positions to my portfolio today.

I try to avoid adding to my long positions when the market has obviously made a good chunk of its move. Instead that’s what I used the pullback from Wednesday through Friday of last week for. That allows me to maxmize the gains that I get from such a move that we experienced over the past two days, instead of having to chase after the market to match its performance.

On the list of stocks that I’ve posted, there are a number of stocks that are already in full breakout mode like LULU, but what you want to do with these types of stocks is wait for a pullback to the breakout level before getting back long on them again.

Others are a waiting game, as they haven’t quite matured yet, and will need more favorable action to push the stocks into the buy column for me.

Feel free to leave any questions in the comments section about the stocks I have listed here, and I’ll be sure to respond.
