Below are the screen results of stocks that have a book value per share that is more than its price per share. Like last time, I just want stocks selling at a THIRD of their book value. Before it was half – so the parameters are tightening. Also, I wanted only those stocks that are showing an increase in interest from the institutions (i.e. they are gobbling up the shares), along with the volume to support it.

I found it interesting that this time around when I ran the screen at half the book value (along with a number of other parameters associated with it) I got twice the amount of companies that I got two weeks ago. There is really only one explanation that I can think of, and it is not because the share price has gone down at all (which would increase the number of stocks selling at half their book value too), instead it has to be the latest earnings reports of how these companies are doing in quarter one. This would lead one to believe that even though the stock market has gone up dramatically over the past year, the value of the stocks itself, across the board are only getting cheaper.

Now I’ve given you something to ponder on for the rest of the day.

Here are the 15 Stocks Selling at a THIRD of their Book Value.
