The bears are back in full swing today, though the level of confidence that traders have in them to close out a day at its lows remains highly questionable. 

The action that we are getting out of today is about the best action we have seen all month long. Until today we have spent the entire month in consolidation. Just when yesterday looked like we would break lower, the bulls rallied to save the market from yet another sell-off. 

But today, the bulls have been non existent. Not even a meaningful attempt to buy the dip. Instead it has been drop, rest, drop rest, drop. No bounce at all. But there is still time left in the trading session, and when there is time, there is the opportunity for the bears to completely blow another opportunity. 

If not though, if they are able to keep the market down today, then we have a confirmed double top on the index, and adding short positions to the portfolio isn’t at all a bad thing to consider doing, in fact I will probably one of those who will do exactly that.
